      Now divide your watts by your voltage and you get on amps, you are using approximately 1 amp.
      You also must check your local electrical codes for sconce lights types and the distances away from water sources, as you do not want to create any electrical hazards in your bathroom. Although these bulbs will fit exactly I suspect that they will not give off very much light. They only have 3 led’s inside the bulb. (about 1 watt) These Could be used for effect but really not for lighting. The neat thing about these bulbs is that they are direct 120v replacements. Which means they can be used for night lights electric candles xmas lights etc. I just ordered them to experiment a little bit.

Wall Sconce Candle Holder – This One’s For You

I received an email from a lady by the name of Elizabeth. Elizabeth lives in Mesa, Arizona. She has a Ranch style four bedroom, three and one half bathroom home in the typical Spanish architecture of that region of the southwestern United States.

Anyway, she wrote to me saying that she was doing some decorating in two rooms of her home and was looking for some wall decorating suggestions. Elizabeth went on further to say that the rooms that she was about to decorate are the living room and the dining room.

To make things easier for me to understand in regards to the decor and furniture already in these rooms, she sent me pictures of both of the rooms so that I could study them carefully and make my suggestions.

Almost instantly my thoughts went to wall sconce candle holders. There are some beautiful pieces that would add subtle charm to any southwestern decor.

I started with the living room. In this room the carpet is a medium tan. There is a rather large overstuffed dark brown leather couch, a red leather chair and a cloth chair in a southwestern pattern of reds, yellows, greens and golds. Surrounded by the couch and chairs is a large square marble coffee table in a medium dark brown marble swirl.

There is an adobe fireplace in the wall corner in the shape of a cone with the larger part of the cone on the bottom, tapering up the corner if the wall. This fireplace is a medium brown with artful scrolls in dark brown accenting the opening of the fireplace, the large black mantle and the upper half of the cone going up the wall corner.

To the left of the fireplace are windows and a sliding glass door overlooking the desert and mountains in the background. On the right side of the fireplace is a wall with two large unframed Native American oil paintings, one on top of the other. This is due to the lack of wall space because there is a large oak entertainment center covering most of the wall space.

This is all I needed to see. I immediately went to work and found several wall sconce candle holders that would complete this room. Around the table are ten oak chairs with ox blood colored padded leather backs and seats.

There is a large American Indian wall tapestry on the wall opposite the outer wall of the room. Below the tapestry is a long buffet cabinet that matches the table and chairs. The outer wall has two rather large windows with colorful southwestern window treatments. The wall space in between the two large windows is a boulder fireplace going up the entire wall.

It took me only a few minutes before I had some great suggestions for wall sconce candle holders on each side of the tapestry. I came up with three wall sconce candle holders that would enhance the overall look of the room.     I have a candlestick with a big glass sconce on it and it has a melted candle inside…How do I get it out without ruining the sconce?

      Boil the sconce. Make sure you use a pan that you never use for food. Put the sconce in when the water is cold and bring the water to a boil. This will prevent the glass from breaking.

      The wax will melt off as the water boils.

      After removing the wax, pour the water outside. Never pour melted wax down your drains, as it can cause clogs.

      To prevent wax from sticking to your sconce in the future, rub a little cooking oil on the inside of the sconce. You’ll never notice a thin coat of oil, and the oil makes it impossible for the wax to stick.

    So my situation is a bit unique. My son is 14 months, and his room doesn’t have any light fixtures although the wall switch is linked to the one outlet where I intend to plug in a floor lamp.       I’m not one to give kids big gifts just because you can. Just so you know what kind of person you are talking to. That XP desktop sounds like it’s annoying/frustrating to use for school work. That leaves the Vista and windows 7 computers. Which should be enough, unless you and your wife use it all the time.
      That said, them having a computer of there own is not such a bad thing at 14. But I would definitely wait for Christmas. This way you are not giving it to them without an occasion to give gifts. AND it will give you the opportunity to find out what laptops would suit their needs best.

      Letting them take it to school doesn’t seem like a good idea. Having 14 year old boys carry around a laptop all the time is asking for it to break really quickly.
