Lamp Post
Solar Lamp Post: Perfectly Lights Up Your Garden
For most of us home and property owners, to beautify and accentuate our home exteriors such as the garden and yard is one of our top priorities. Good thing that there are now outdoor solar lighting such as the solar lamp posts, which are considered as excellent accent and of course, source of illumination to our yards or gardens. Any solar lamp post, simple or with elaborate designs, lend a sense of safety and security to the front of the house because of the lighting that it offers. Likewise, it adds beauty and accent to your yard during nighttime.
Replace old light with solar light
For those who are already using lamp posts but are not powered by the sun’s energy, you can actually just replace the old light with a solar lamp post light – there is definitely no need to replace the lamp post itself. Most solar lamp posts now have various designs that amazingly match the design of the post itself, making a uniform and pleasant look.
Easy to install and seldom requires maintenance

QUESTION:
why does my lamp post without a sensor work during the day but not at night?
I have a lamp post that lights fine during the daytime but will not come on after dark. I removed the photo cell thinking it was faulty and re-attached the wires directly to the light but that didn’t do it. I have power at the switch plate and the circuit breaker works fine. Any ideas about what else it could be? Thanks.-
ANSWER:
I’m going to agree with Alekat on this one. It sounds like there is a timer somewhere in the circuit.Try this…
Leave the light on during the day (you say that it works fine then). Watch to see if it turns off on its own. If it does (and at night), then you will know that this is the case. (leave it alone and see if it comes back on during the day, by itself).

QUESTION:
How do I repair a cut underground electric line to my outdoor lamp post?
While planting some plants around the base of my outdoor lamp post, I cut the electric line to the post with my shovel. It was only down about 4″ deep and didn’t have any type of conduit protection around it. Can I just expose some wire on each piece, twist together, cover with electrical tape and re-bury?-
ANSWER:
You sure can – that probably won’t meet code and the tape will get wet. I suggest you call an electrician.
